Commissioning a bespoke wedding cake is a wonderful part of a wedding journey and our wish is to make your journey as smooth and seamless as possible.
Designing a wedding cake unique to yourselves, is a similar design process to that of designing a couture wedding dress.
We take pride in getting to know you as a couple. We like to understand your vision for your special day and fall in love with it too.
We can create sketches, we can showcase our delicious cake flavours on offer, and work with you to create your perfect cake.
Wedding cakes come in the form of many shapes and sizes. There are a fast array of options and we are here to guide through them every step of the way.

Can you explain your wedding cake services?
Of course, designing a wedding cake is a unique experience, and something we know is not an everyday occurrence. Over the years we have created a way of working that ensures our couples have a relaxed, fun and special wedding cake journey. We have created a complete service that will take care of everything to do with our couples wedding cake, we call this our Bespoke Service.
The Bespoke Service includes the designing and creating of your beautiful bespoke wedding cake and/or dessert table, a medium size Cake Tasting Box (sent direct to your home), design consultation calls, and catch consultation calls, hand delivery to your venue, and expert cake set up by our Cake Stylists, cake stand hire and collection, liaising with your wedding planner, your venue, your florist, and extended wedding team (if needed).
The Bespoke Service can also include wedding favours, guest bedroom gifts, extra postal tasting gifts, first year anniversary cake, birthday cakes/cupcakes for your guests, grooms cake, sourcing cake display props, site visits to your venue, as well as an in person Tasting & Design Consultation for two in a local Cheltenham hotel or at your venue/location of choice.
However, many of the Bespoke Service elements are optional, depending on your requirements and overall budget.
Can we talk to you before we book our wedding cake?
Of course! We would be delighted to talk to you first. We can host cake consultations via telephone or zoom, as well as private in person consultations. We’ll guide you through your wedding cake / dessert table options such as size, shape, flavour, number of portions, decoration and level of detail.

Absolutely, you are welcome to order a delicious postal Cake Tasting Box prior to booking from our website shop here.
These lovely Tasting Boxes are posted to your home or address of choice.
How many guests should our wedding cake cater for?
This is completely your choice, though I would say most of our couple cater for the exact number of guests.
However, over the years we have had couples over cater, as they love the thought of having left over wedding cake for next day celebrations, or to send to loved ones, or just to nibble on after the wedding (wedding cakes can easily be frozen).
Alternatively, some of couples under cater as they don’t want to have any cake left over at all.
Do you provide delivery and wedding cake set up?
Our Bespoke Service includes delivery and set up at your venue so that you do not have to worry about a thing.
We are happy to travel locally around Cheltenham and throughout the Cotswolds.
Can we hire a cake stand from you?
We have a number of beautiful cake stands available for hire and can advise on the perfect stand for your cake display.
Do you offer a wedding cake price list?
It is very difficult to offer a price list per se, until we able to discuss what you are looking for via an initial consultation call. Each of our beautiful cakes and dessert tables have so many variables bespoke to each couple.
When pricing our cakes, we take into account the number of servings, the complexity of design and style elements, and level of service a couple choose.
Sometimes a highly decorated smaller cake may take longer to create than a larger one, and therefore, will be a higher price.
We bake a number of different sized cakes and we will always try to present a few possible variations for you to choose from.
However, as guide our wonderful wedding cake prices tend to range between £5.00 - £45.00 per portion. With this in mind, on average our lovely couples tend to invest between £600 - £1,500 for their wedding cake and Bespoke Service. How early should be book our wedding cake?
We only take on a limited number of Bespoke Wedding cake orders per year and open our diary 12 months in advance.
To Save the Date we require a deposit of £350.00, this then ensures you are 100% booked into our diary.
How do we go ahead and book a Vanilla Pod Bakery wedding cake?
We are delighted you are considering booking your wedding cake with us.
To secure your date we ask you to completed a Save The Date form and pay a non refundable deposit of £350.00 (payable by credit/debit card or BACS).
The remaining balance is then due in full one month prior to your wedding date.

We offer a complimentary initial phone consultation. This is a great way to talk with Pia and the team about what you are really looking for in your perfect wedding cake. Together we can talk about wonderful designs, flavours and more.
