Julie Kent MBE, the founder of Emily’s Gift under the umbrella of the Pied Piper Charity, is on a mission to raise £500,000 by 10th March 2024 in order to fund a psychologist on the Emily Kent Unit at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital for 10 years (with the goal the NHS will take over the funding after that).

Why is the appeal called Emily’s Gift:
In 1995, Julie Kent MBE and her husband Bernard’s first daughter Emily died of a brain tumour when she was just three years old. Since then they have thrown themselves into fundraising for children with cancer in Gloucestershire.
