Wonderful wedding cakes can come in all different shapes and sizes, with the most popular option being beautiful round stacked cakes. But every so often we are commissioned to create a wedding cake that is a little more unusual. So I have had a look back through our most unusual wedding cakes to help you with inspiration if you are looking for an unusual wedding cake.

1. Pyramid Shaped Wedding Cake

This fantastic shaped cake was created for a wonderful couple who got married at Sudeley Castle. The Groom had seen a similar shaped cake in the movie Four Weddings and Funeral and had his heart set on the unusual design. So we made it happen for him. The cake was covered with an undercoat of luxurious white ganache and then layered with fondant icing.
2. Building Wedding Cake
This cake had a wonderful story. The groom proposed to his groom on the steps of this iconic Italian building, Vittorio Emanuele ii Monument (nick named the wedding cake), while they were on holiday Rome. They then choose to have the building replicated in cake form for their gorgeous wedding day at Sezincote House. The cake was huge and made up of layers of delicious Vegan Madagascan Victoria Sandwich cake.

3. Italian Millefoglie Wedding Cake

Keeping on this Italian theme, this was a wonderful cake for us to create. The couple held their wedding at the stunning Elmore Court and requested a traditional Italian wedding cake. A Millefogile is made up of layers of crisp puff pastry, cream (in this case creme patisserie), fresh fruit, nuts and icing sugar.

4. Tall Ship Wedding Cake
This was such a fun cake for us to create for a wonderful couple who got married at the beautiful Slaughters Manor House Hotel. The cake was constructed out of delicious handmade Rice Krispie treats finished luxurious white chocolate ganache, effect fondant, edible sails and cute sugar models of the bride and groom.———————————
5. Floral Cupcake Display Wedding Cake
A super colourful wedding cake display of floral cupcakes in funky flower pots. This beautiful couple got married at the House at No.131 and commissioned us to create an edible display that looked like beautiful flowers. The bride was so happy and even said half of her guests didn’t even realise the cakes weren’t flowers!———————————
6. Triangle Wedding Cake Tower

On an extremely hot summers day we create this awesome geometric individual triangle tower for a wonderful couple who got married at the Cotswold Field of Dreams. The couple had a geometric theme from the fabulous marquee, the tables and to cake. The individual triangle cakes were created from delicious white chocolate panels and each hand painted with either edible metallic silver and purple paint. The silver cakes were all Chocolate Salted Caramel - Chocolate sponge sandwiched with salted caramel sauce and salted caramel buttercream and the purple cakes were all Passion Fruit Curd - Vanilla sponge sandwiched with passionfruit curd and passion fruit curd buttercream.
